Malika Hobbs is the Director of the Contracts Division in the Environmental Management Program's Office of Acquisition Management. In addition to having over thirty years of federal and private industry employment, she has extensive procurement experience. In former positions she has served as a Chinese translator (as such, she translated a study that had world wide dissemination), procurement analyst, and contracting officer. Ms. Hobbs is currently the Environmental Management Program's Competition Advocate and representative for the Federal Women's Program as well as a member of the Department of Energy's Diversity Council. She is also the Project Officer for the DOE Samuel P. Massie Chairs of Excellence Program. Ms. Hobbs is a Council of Excellence in Government Fellow and participates on several committees involving departmental, intergovernmental and the National Performance Review. She is a recipient of Vice President Gore's Hammer Award and has received a commendation from the Director of the Office of Management and Budget for her efforts while serving as a member of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy Interagency Performance-Based Service Contracting (PBSC) Telephone Call Center Operations Committee.
